Meet The Artist

Graduating with a Fine Art degree in Painting from
Kutztown
University
, Sandra Corpora received the prize for top fine art graduate. She worked as an art teacher, designer, and creative director until 1992 when she began painting full time.
Sandra has taken workshops with top painters including Kenn Backhaus, Nelson Shanks, John Osborne, Scott Jennings, T.M. Nicolas and David Tutwiler. She's worked to master painting from life and on location. Her objective with every series of paintings is to improve her ability to describe light and color using paint. She feels that her art is a result of an ongoing process of learning and growing as an artist.
She enjoys painting the landscape of Pennsylvania as well as the many places she travels to. She also enjoys painting still life, the figure, portraits, and animals. Sandra finds exploring a variety of subject matter creates new opportunities for artistic expression.
Sandra Corpora received an Award of Excellence in the Oil Painters of America Thirteenth Annual National Juried Exhibition. She was featured in American Artist Magazine as part of a plein air painting event. She has been accepted in many juried shows and has received numerous awards. Her work is in private and public collections in the US, Canada and

About the Paintings
I love travelling to paint en plein air to many locations throughout the US, Canada and Europe. I look for the special qualities of light, atmosphere and physical characteristics that make these places so unique. Whether outside in the landscape, or in the studio, I want to create an immediate response to the elements that draw me to each subject and at the same time keep the paint surface involving and fresh.
